PUBLIC LIBRARIES offer books, music, movies, magazines, e-books, and audio books.

Borrow materials from any library in the New Brunswick Public Library Service. Enjoy free programs for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our programs incorporate Every Child Ready to Read®, supporting parents and caregivers with the early literacy development of children from birth to age 5 as we Sing! Talk! Play! Read! and Write! together.

Ask your local library about our programs including:

Babies in the Library

Babies 0–18 months old and their caregivers. Older siblings welcome!

Fingerplays, songs and rhymes, knee bounces and board books. Programs typically are

30 minutes, but may include extra time to socialize or for other programming options.

Children 18–36 months old and their parents or caregivers. Younger siblings welcome!

30 minutes of rhymes, songs, stories, and activities. A chance for

toddlers to make friends while practicing language and social skills.

Preschool Storytime

Children 3–5 years old with parent or caregiver. Younger children welcome with an adult.  30 minutes of stories, songs, crafts, and activities to promote early literacy.

Summer Reading Club

Parents or caregivers can register children of any age (even babies) for the

Summer Reading Club. It’s never to soon to start reading to children,

and you can have older children practice reading to the younger ones!

Find these programs (and more!) at your local library in the Fundy Region.
